Collecting points all year and hoping: are the ATP points enough to get into the top 8 of the ATP world rankings of all U21 players?
At the tournaments in Antwerp and Basel, I was able to earn the important last points with great victories against 2 top 40 ATP players.
I was the first Swiss tennis player ever to play at the Next Gen Finals 2022 in Milan.
And what a week it was for me at the Next Gen Finals 2022 in Milan. I was able to improve once again and show my best tennis of my career so far this week in Milan.
After wins against J. Drapper ATP 43, L. Musetti ATP 23 and CH. Tseng ATP 89, I reached the semi-finals undefeated. There I lost 1:3 in the sets against J. Lehecka ATP 75.
Despite this defeat, I am happy to have reached the semi-finals. It was just great and the atmosphere in the hall was indescribable.
I am incredibly proud and would like to thank my family, my whole team, Swisstennis, the support from Switzerland and the whole world before and during this week.
I am already looking forward to 2023 and to many great matches.
